Technology
CAH is a wireless campus with state-of-the-art fiber optics. Each student is provided with an Apple MacBook Air laptop to use during the school year. Teachers use these devices to enhance lessons and assignments.

Academics
We are proud to offer a strong curriculum of core classes and and a host of electives which give students a well-rounded educational experience. In addition to English language arts, reading, math, science, and social studies, our students are able to explore their passions in elective classes like graphic design, American Sign Language, theatre, and business information management.

Cumberland Academy High has two academic buildings. Freshman and sophomore students are housed in the Lower High School building with their own administrative staff. Our juniors and seniors have moved into the brand new Upper High School building!

Our partnership with TJC allows students to take classes to earn dual credit and affords the opportunity to participate in the TJC Promise Scholarship where students can earn up to two years of tuition and fees at Tyler Junior College by upholding the standards of the promise in academic achievement, persistence, and community service. Students may also choose to seek an extra challenge in honors and Advanced Placement courses.

Athletics
CAH athletes compete in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) in District 4A. At this time, we offer the following sports: volleyball, cheerleading, dance, cross country, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, track, and baseball. Our coaches are passionate about helping student-athletes succeed not only in athletics but in life. As the finishing touches to the sports field and complex with an AstroTurf soccer/lacrosse field, track, two baseball fields, and a new 1,000-seat competition gymnasium, we hope parents and student enjoy the new additions!

Arts
Performing arts students have the opportunity to participate in band, orchestra, choir, jazz band, theatre, and dance. Additionally, there are many visual arts classes available. Our artists compete against students from the other UIL schools in our district. Cumberland Academy's vision is to foster an appreciation of the arts, and our fine arts facilities to come in Summer 2018 as part of Phase III of the master plan are a testament to this commitment.
