Congratulations to Rebecca R., Isabel N., Anna A., and Kevin T. on advancing to the state VASE contest!

About Me!

My name is Carrie Geoffrion and I am teaching American Sign Language here at Cumberland Academy High School! This is the second year for American Sign Language to be offered and I am happy to be here and help grow this program! I am from Tyler originally and graduated from All Saints Episcopal School in 2005. I then went to Baylor and graduated with a Deaf Education degree. I have taught Deaf Education in Bryan/College Station and here in Tyler for several years. I moved up to Frisco and taught ASL up there and then quickly made my way back to Tyler and taught first grade at Cumberland Academy Elementary. I was approached to start an ASL program here and jumped at the opportunity to bring this language to the students at Cumberland! I look forward to watching these students learn and grow throughout the year! I love being a Cumberland Knight!
