TJC Dual Credit Office Coming To Campus

TJC will be on campus, Thursday, June 10th, from 9:00-12:00, for registration for the Fall semester. They will be set up in the cafeteria. If you plan to attend, you must apply for admissions and receive your A# prior to that day. The attached file has the registration checklist; this will be your lifeline during the registration process. In the same file is the flat fee chart and Student/Parent Consent Form. This form must be on file and can be sent directly to TJC. I will send transcripts to TJC once they are finalized for the year, so don't worry about that. At the bottom of the checklist is the list of courses we are offering next year with their course title. You will need that information when completing the registration form. Leave the course number field blank. Please keep in mind that Cumberland student email accounts cannot accept emails from any entity except Cumberland. Use a personal email address when registering.

I will send all EOC and PSAT scores to TJC, beginning next week, for those students that meet the TSIA waiver requirements. The checklist has the TSIA waiver requirements. If you do not meet those requirements, you will be required to take the TSIA. Information about the exam can be found on TJC's website. https://www.tjc.edu/TSI  Students that did not take the Algebra 1 EOC due to the pandemic, and did not meet minimum requirements for the waiver with their PSAT math score, must take the math TSIA before enrolling in any dual credit math courses. Likewise, students that did not take the English 2 EOC due to the pandemic, nor met minimum requirements on the PSAT, must take the ELAR portion of the TSIA.

After TJC has received the test scores and transcripts from me, and the completed online registration form from you guys, they will open up the option to pay online through Apache Access. You also have the option to pay over the phone or at the Cashier's office at TJC. Payment for the classes or an installment plan needs to be made by July 21st. TJC will drop any students who have not made payment arrangements by that date; this will result in a schedule change at CAHS.

You do not have to attend registration day on June 10th to take dual credit classes. The entire process can be done from the comfort of your home. In addition, you do not have to have the TSIA complete before registering. But you will need to have it done before you can pay for your classes.

If you have any questions or run into a problem during the registration process, please let me know. Our summer hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00-2:00 through the month of June. I will do my best to answer your questions as quickly as possible.
