Cumberland Academy recognizes these two distinguished student musicians who earned the honor of performing with an All-State music ensemble in San Antonio at the 2023 TMEA Convention on February 11th. Beginning in September of 2022 and competing with over 70,000 students from over 1200 Districts in the state of Texas, Myriam Zamy and Nayati Ates, under the direction of their directors, Branson Blanton and James Waddell went through a series of auditions at the district, pre area, and area levels to make it to the top! We couldn't be more proud of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence which gave these two talented young ladies the competitive edge for an All-State title.
