Lonnie Cook is an accomplished musician and educator, currently serving as the Head Choir Director in our district. Born and raised in Whitehouse, Lonnie's passion for music began at an early age. He attended Whitehouse High School, where his musical talents flourished.
Lonnie's dedication to his craft led him to Tyler Junior College, where he studied Voice under the guidance of the esteemed Andrea Trent for two years. Seeking further musical growth, he pursued a degree in Voice at Southern Methodist University, studying in the prestigious Barbara Hill-Moore studio.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Lonnie has had the privilege of working with students across all grade levels (k-12). His commitment to fostering a love for music and developing the talent of his students has been instrumental in creating a vibrant and successful program.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Lonnie finds joy and fulfillment in his family life. He has been married for 12 years to his wife, and they have three wonderful boys, Tucker, Easton, and Rowan. Together, they are actively involved in their community and currently serve as Youth Pastors at Whitehouse First Assembly.
Lonnie's passion extends beyond music; he enjoys exploring new places through travel, engaging in piano performances, and embracing the fun of games. His multifaceted interests and devotion to family enrich his ability to connect with students on a personal and educational level.
With a wealth of experience, a genuine love for teaching, and a commitment to nurturing the musical talents of young individuals, Lonnie Cook is poised to make a lasting impact as the Head Choir Director in our district.
