Sophomore setter and opposite Kelci Zelaya has been named the October Player of the Month. Her exceptional contributions on the court have not only solidified her place as a key player but have also played a significant role on the team.
Kelci has been a force to be reckoned with, racking up an impressive 280 digs, showcasing her defensive prowess and ability to read the game. In addition to her defensive skills, she has also made a significant impact on offense with 100 kills, demonstrating her versatility as both a setter and a hitter.
Her contribution doesn’t stop there. Kelci has also excelled in serving, amassing 219 service points and 60 aces that highlight her ability to put pressure on opponents during crucial moments. Moreover, her remarkable 350 assists reveal her talent for setting up her teammates to put the ball down, making her a vital playmaker for the Lady Knights.
Kelci's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and her performance for the month of October has excelled for the Lady Knights Volleyball program.
