Information About Me

I am so excited to say that this is my 4th year teaching Visual Arts at Cumberland Academy High School. This year I will be teaching Art 2, Art 3 & 4, Drawing 3 & 4, and AP Art. It is an honor to be an educator for such amazing and talented students.  My daughter recently graduated from Cumberland Academy and is attending UT Tyler this fall. We moved to Tyler from El Paso, TX about 6 years ago and fell in love with the area and people.

 

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Fine Art at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).  At UTEP I majored in painting and minored in drawing.  I have a passion for painting and specialize in painting portraits and figures.  I have contributed artwork to the Emily's Place Gala in Dallas, TX for many years.  I have competed in Toma Mi Corazon, an art contest for Taco Tote, and won the Purchase Prize.  I created all of the artwork for a local movie, Love In Daylight, which was accepted and featured in The Golden State Film Festival 2020.  In addition I have featured art in various other Exhibitions and Juried Art Shows.
