The grade that collects the most toys will get out of 8th period early for games and music! Toys should be new and unopened. Thank you for helping us give presents to children who would otherwise not receive any this Christmas.

The Carter Blood Care blood donation bus will be at the high school campus on Monday, February 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donate blood and save a life!

Congratulations to Madeline for earning 1st place in Congress at the UIL District Congress competition in New Harmony! She will advance to the state competition in Austin in January. Christiana placed 6th during her first congress competition.

CAH student Yaseen Alsheikh earned 2nd place out of 49 competitors in the persuasive speaking category at the UIL Academic meet in Whitehouse. Congrats, Yaseen!

Our National Honor Society planned and executed a faculty vs. students basketball game fundraiser to support victims of Hurricane Harvey. They raised $500 for the cause, and had some fun, too!

The 2nd period class that collects the most canned goods per student will earn a donuts in the morning and pizza at lunch!

Eight of our choir students auditioned for Regional Honor Choir, and six earned a spot. These six will join the other region choirs in Carthage on Saturday, November 11 for a clinic and concert. Congratulations to the following:

Submit a photo of your anti-drug to Mrs. Schodowski at [email protected] by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 26. Include name, photo, and title (for caption) in the email. All photos will be published online and in the hallway, and the winner's photo will be in the yearbook!

If you have a student in fine arts (band, orchestra, choir, theater, dance, art), please consider becoming a member of the FAB to support the fine arts students! Babysitting during the meeting will be provided by the Art Society.

We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week Tuesday, October 24 - Friday, October 27. Our Student Council has been working diligently to make it relevant to our students. Please see the attached flyer for descriptions of theme days. (Note - Students do not have school on 10/23.)
